This will be an informative session on all you need to know about family centred care in paediatric audiology.
The session will begin with our keynote speech delivered by Gwen Carr and Christine Yoshinaga-Itano, which will explore successful family centred care in audiology, drawing on international research and evidence-based practice.
This will be followed by a presentation on a parental peer support programme, ‘buddy parents’, developed by CYPAC for families who have been newly diagnosed with hearing loss.
The final talk will be a practical session equipping attendees with helpful tips and techniques that they can take away and use in their discussion with families.
