ESHNR and the Swedish organising committee are very much looking forward to welcoming delegates from all continents to Malmö! It is the third time that an ESHNR meeting will be held in Scandinavia and the second time in Sweden.
Malmö, the third biggest city in Sweden, is easiest to reach by flying to the Danish capital Copenhagen and taking the train across the Öresund bridge which connects the two countries.
We hope that the ESHNR meeting in Malmo will be a bridge that connects people from all over the world. A bridge needs strong foundations to support it. The ESHNR members, our sister societies such as ASHNR and the collaboration with colleagues from all over the globe are the foundations that support this “head and neck radiology” bridge.
An exciting scientific program will cover the major topics in head and neck radiology with a special focus on modern imaging techniques, salivary glands, paediatric, lower neck and transpatial lesions, the temporal bone and sinonasal pathology. There will be a session on updates in cancer imaging and a tumour board with Swedish experts and junior radiologists from other countries. The refresher courses will cover the temporal bone, sinonasal region and head and neck infections.
The successful cooperation with our sister society ASHNR continues. Dedicated sessions with experts from both sides of the Atlantic will discuss NI-RADS, thyroid pathology and the differences in head and neck radiology education. These will be supplemented by case-presentations from junior faculty. We are very happy to welcome our American colleagues to Sweden!
We are excited about our new cooperation with the European Academy of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology. Specialists from both societies will talk about the imaging of dental and TMJ pain. A session about the crossover problems for head and neck and odontological radiologists completes the list.
As always there will be sessions for scientific presentations, and opportunities for submission of educational exhibits.
A tempting social program where one can get to know new people and refresh old friendships will be provided including a welcome reception with drinks and a gala dinner.
We look forward to welcoming you to Malmö!
