Registration is now open for the third annual ENT UK Global Health Conference, taking place Friday 2 October 2020. The event will aim to raise awareness of the significant health inequalities that exists globally and discuss ENT global health activities, partnerships and initiatives taking place. This is a virtual meeting – holding the conference online will in fact enable greater international participation and help to support a truly global perspective!

The first session, led by ENT UK President, Prof Nirmal Kumar, will examine how COVID-19 has impacted on ENT provision in the UK and abroad. In this session, we also have a talk from Samuel Okerosi from Nairobi on managing COVID in low resource settings. Other sessions will constitute talks and panel discussions on a variety of subjects including training, research and clinical initiatives involving low and middle-income countries.

International speakers also include Harvard’s Blake Alkire, Oh Chungyeon from Fiji and Shazia Peer from Cape Town.  Other speakers from the UK include David Howard, Montio Morgan and Ian Lilley. Anna Seale form The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine will talk on some of the challenges ahead for global health and representatives of Deafkidz International and Let the Children Hear will discuss initiatives in paediatric ENT and Audiology.
