In the last years the reconstructive options has exploded largely due to advances in microvascular surgery.
The first major step in H&N reconstruction came with the development or regional flaps but the ability to transfer well-vascularized tissue from other parts of the body and to restore the vascularization through the anastomosis has allowed the surgeons to choose many reconstructions optimizing functional outcomes.
For these reasons we designed these hands-on microsurgery where the participants could improve microsurgical ability in vessels anastomosis on animals and artificial models. Up to 20 participants.
