Energy Events Centre
14 Oct 2014 - 17 Oct 2014
On behalf of the Organising Committee, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our 67th Annual General and Scientific Meeting of the New Zealand Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
Since the turn of the century, our specialty has benefited from a tremendous pace in innovation. Networking and dissemination of knowledge world-wide through the internet, social media and smart digital devices has accelerated this process. We have embraced technological advances such as endoscopy, video imaging, LASER and robotics to enhance our practice. Through joint efforts with other specialties, we have formed multidisciplinary groups to manage patients with complex needs, for example in Head and Neck Oncology, Skull-base surgery, and Paediatric hearing disorders. Allied specialties such as Audiologists, Speech and Language therapists, Specialist Nurses and General Practitioners with ENT interest, have made important contributions to our specialty. This meeting aims to reflect the spirit of innovation, collaboration and integration, which we believe will continue to shape the future of ENT.
We are honoured to host the conference at the internationally acclaimed Energy Events Centre in
Rotorua, a popular multicultural tourist destination with its unparalleled reputation of unique geothermal attractions, breathtaking lakes and forest landscapes, and an amazing range of outdoor activities. Join us in this wonderful opportunity to update yourself, interact with local and international experts across a broad range of disciplines, refresh old relationships and forge new ones.
