This course will provide theoretical and practical training on aural rehabilitation (using the Cochlear Adult Aural Rehabilitation manual and other materials for teenagers and adults including those with memory issues), psychosocial rehabilitation and music therapy. Approaches to individual and group therapy will be discussed in detail.
The programme will be a mixture of presentations, demonstrations and practical sessions.
This day is a part of a series of 4 courses in the same week. The 4 courses are scheduled to accommodate different professional specialties; when you make your booking, please register specifically for each individual day to combine to the number of days you wish to attend.
Who should attend:
Professionals such as teachers of the deaf, speech and language therapists, hearing therapists, psychologists, and habilitationists, who work with adult and/or child recipients in areas other than programming.
