On behalf of the EFAS 2023 Organising Committee, it is my great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 16th European Federation Audiology Societies Congress 2023 in Croatia. The EFAS congresses are the most comprehensive, innovative and inclusive events of their kind. EFAS 2023 Congress will be organized by the Croatian Society of Audiology and Phoniatrics on May 3 – 6, 2023 in Convention Centre Sibenik, the largest convention centre in the Croatia and Adriatic region.
Sibenik lies almost in the middle of the eastern Adriatic coast. The town was founded in the 10th century. UNESCO World Heritage site the Cathedral of St James in Sibenik makes it an outstanding and unique building in which Gothic and Renaissance forms have been successfully blended. An interesting fact is that a part of an episode of the famous Game of Thrones series was recorded just near Sibenik Cathedral. Our „Game of Audiology ”, in EFAS 2023 Congress, will be the occasion to discuss past development, achievements, attainments, wide dissemination and prospects of European audiology. The Convention Centre Sibenik is located in a very nice area and it has excellent conditions to host an event of this size with numerous conference rooms. The rich four day congress program will include oral and poster presentations plus free papers covering the most current topics in audiology, as well as workshops, excellent plenary sessions and lectures by eminent participants, who have extensive and profound knowledge and experience.
