Complete Ear Surgery Course

This is the only UK temporal bone course encompassing the soft tissue techniques required in Otology. Through a combination of short lectures and practical hands on sessions using fresh frozen cadaveric material this course will offer the unique opportunity to learn and perform the following techniques: – Canal wall up (Combined Approach Tympanoplasty) and Canal wall down mastoidectomy – Conchomeatoplasty – ‘Island’ and ‘Butterfly’ graft tympanoplasty – Pinnaplasty – Mid temporal and Temporoparietal flaps – Mastoid cavity obliteration and blind sac closure with middle ear implants. Each delegate will have their own temporal bone workstation. The assembled faculty includes consultants regularly teaching these techniques from an Otolaryngology and Plastic surgery background with a ratio of 1 faculty member for every 2 delegates.
