I would like to extent a warm invitation to join me in Melbourne for the ASOHNS Annual Scientific Meeting in March 2016.
Otolaryngology has progressed a long way since its inception and has become very prominent within the surgical community.
I would like delegates at this meeting to discuss some of the basic principles of both surgery and professionalism within our society.
None of us doubt that education has allowed us to develop our scientific knowledge and I would like to reflect upon where we have come from, where we are now, and where we are going.
“Back to Basics” is the theme of this meeting.
That is not to suggest our specialty is simple, but to explore and solidify the depth of our foundation so that we can continue to build.
I welcome you all to celebrate what we have achieved and confront the challenges ahead together.
