The 2nd International TransOral Robotic Surgery (TORS) Conference is designed for Otolaryngologists, Pulmonologists, Head and Neck Surgeons, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists and other related health care professionals such as Speech Language Pathologists, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. The agenda will consist of didactic presentations, TORS cadaver demo-dissections, live TORS surgery, and expert panel discussions. We have created a unique program this year in which the first half-day will focus on cancer-related TORS surgery and the second half of the day will allow the group to attend a full half-day focused on radiation or chemoradiation following TORS. Our thought in creating this program is that successful cancer care as well as the management of the sleep apnea results from a collaborative approach between the surgeon and non-surgeon. Whether you are a head and neck surgeon, pulmonologist, radiation oncologist or medical oncologist please look carefully at this program and we hope you will agree that this will offer a unique learning opportunity for all specialties. Surgeons who are presently doing TORS or who have an interest will have the opportunity of learning the state-of-the-art approach from world experts. Radiation oncologists, both university and community based, will have the opportunity to better understand robotic surgical techniques and learn the most advanced treatment planning that will allow better collaboration between the surgical and radiation oncology teams.
