On behalf of the organising committee, we will like to invite you to the NUH Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Course 2015. This course is jointly organised by the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Division of Neurosurgery, Department of General Surgery.
This is a three-day intensive course focusing on minimally invasive endoscopic surgeries of the sinuses, pituitary fossa and skull base. It will be divided into two parts. The first part will focus on the essentials of endoscopic surgery of the paranasal sinuses while the emphasis of the second part will be on the pituitary fossa and the skull base. The course will comprise both didactic lectures and hands-on cadaveric dissection. All cadaveric workstations will be equipped with image guidance systems, as well as instruments and equipments necessary for endoscopic skull base work.
For this year?s course, we have assembled an impressive list of distinguished international faculties including Dr Carl Synderman, Dr Paul Gartner, Dr Charles Teo, Dr Solares, and Dr Allen Shen. Together with our local faculties, they will cover a wide range of topics, ranging from skull base anatomy, surgical techniques, the decision-making processes, surgical outcomes and complications. We believe that participants will be able to tap on, and benefit from their wealth of experience and knowledge. As endoscopic skull base surgery merits from a good partnership between otolaryngologists and neurosurgeons, we would like to encourage and forge this working relationship by continuing to offer a special rate for dual registration, as in our previous course last year.
On behalf of our team, we would like to welcome you to our sunny tropical island. We hope that you will not only gain knowledge and skills from the course, but also have the opportunity to forge new friendships, visit the latest attractions, and also have time to savor the wide variety of sumptuous cuisine in Singapore.
